This is Abby Joy, formally Joy. We adopted her when she was 9 months old from SGRR in May 2005 and she just turned 14 years young!!  Being an Air Force family, she has moved all over with us since then. We just moved back to Oklahoma for the third time from Alaska. Abby loved it!!  She loved the cold weather and snow, and was the best hiking buddy!  When we adopted her, we had our pound puppy, Callie. She passed away 2 years ago from cancer. A month later, we adopted Grizzly from a rescue in Anchorage, Alaska.  Abby was missing having a sister so she and her new brother became fast friends. Upon moving back to Oklahoma last fall, our Sadie girl came to us as a rehome and our home is busy (and hairy!) but we wouldn’t have it any other way. Abby became a big sister first though when we brought our twins home. They just turned 11 and she has been by their side every moment since. She has been the one constant thing in our family through all the moving and deployments.  She is the heart of our family and we wouldn’t be the same without her. She is the most loving, loyal, and joyful dog we have ever known. We don’t know how much time we have left with Abby, but we are so thankful for all the time we’ve been given and continue to savor every moment we are blessed with. Thank you for all you do. You have and continue to bless so many lives and dogs with your tireless effort and love. We are forever grateful.
