Jake ** Adopted **

Jake is an 8-year-old gentleman who’s ready to enjoy the good life he’s always deserved. During his stay with SGRR, Jake has proven to be a very nice, well-behaved dog with a lot of love to give. Currently in foster care, Jake is living with two dogs and a cat and is fitting in well overall. Jake would be a wonderful companion in a quieter household looking for a loyal, mature dog.

Jake does have a few quirks to know about. He has a strong personality and prefers to be the dominant dog, so he may do best as an only dog or with a submissive canine companion who doesn’t mind letting Jake take the lead. While he’s vocal and assertive, he is not aggressive. One thing to note—Jake has a fondness for chewing blankets and will happily shred them even when you’re right there, so blanket lovers beware! He is crated when left alone, and this has worked well for him.

If you’re looking for a calm, confident companion who just needs a little understanding and a cozy (blanket-free!) spot to call his own, Jake might be your new best friend!
